Godbey's article describes the history of Haslet, Texas and says the last cotton gin in town had been sold and how the state of the town had worsened since 1936 when it had "two grocery stores, one notion store, two or three cafes, two filling stations, two cotton gins, three churches, one drug store and a high school."
