A letter addressed to the Warden, State Prison at Folsom, Folsom, California from parolee, with approval of T. N. Carswell, Parole Officer, dated February 21, 1951. Subject A 9803 makes a second request to the Warden to send his U. S. Postal notes.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, from John Ben Shepperd, Secretary of State, Austin, Texas (by Pauline Kirk), dated February 27, 1951. Kirk advises Carswell of the enclosed correspondence and a $500 Postal Savings Certificate received from the California Authorities issued in favor of Subject A-9808-A. She expresses her appreciation to Carswell for his assistance and advises him that nothing was said by California regarding the tools belonging to subject. Typewritten on State of Texas Department of State letterhead bearing HAMMERMILL BOND watermark.

The letter contains an advisement regarding Subject A-9808-A, that the Subject is doing well, but Carswell expounds on his carpentry work and restates the need for the remaining Postal Savings Certificates belonging to Subject to be transferred to him from California.

Byrnes, Supervising State Parole Officer), Sacramento 14, California, dated March 27, 1951. Byrnes refers to Kirk's letter of March 23, 1951 and advises of an enclosed Postal Savings Bond belonging to Subject A-9808-A, as requested.

A letter addressed to the Secretary of State, Austin, Texas (Attn: Pauline Kirk), from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated April 28, 1951. Carswell advises that he has enclosed a report from Subject A 9803. Carswell takes responsibility regarding the tardiness of the paperwork and discusses the request made by Subject for the balance of his funds which are to be used for business plans of which Carswell approves.
