[Labor Day T&P Float]

Copy photo of a float for the 1903 Marshall, Texas Labor Day parade built by the T&P shop there. The float is designed to look like a Texas & Pacific train car. The float is full of people, and a young man and boy are posing in front of it. Some onlookers can be seen on the right side of the image. Text on the image says "Among Our Souvenirs." Written below the photo are "[sic] Float which T&P shop employes - at Marshall built for the 1903 Labor Day parade in that city, pulled by two hefty mules. Standing in front are Lee Burnett, L a coach builder, who acted as 'Conductor' that day, and Rom Murff, the official 'Porter' a young painter at that time." and "T&P Topics, Jun 1950, pg 19."
