Some say the pens in the foreground were on a tract owned by the Earl of Aylesford and operated by his friend, John Birdwell" and "Big Spring Heritage Museum." On the back of the mat is a card with an image of Heneage Finch and a short description of his life, as well as a letter from Joe Pickle to a man named Don.
