Photograph of a clipping from T&P Topics December 1955 issue. Pictured are six T&P trains leaving Dallas for the 1935 Rose Bowl game. Written below the image are "[sic] One of the biggest and longest passenger movements of the T&P took place when 9 special trains ran out of Dallas to the Rose Bowl in California carrying 2000 S.M.U. Mustang supporters. The T&P ran 6 of the 9 trains. All were 900 series locomotives Two had feedwater heaters. They are (L-R) #'s 909, 900, 908, 901, 907, and 905. The fact that Stanford won the traditional New Years Day football game 7-0 didn't dim the luster of the 3,000-mile excursion for the fans" and "T&P Topics, Dec 1955, pg 34."
