The interview was conducted as part of KERA's State of the Arts series and was open to a public audience. Interview with Dr. Milan Reban for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) podcast. In this very special episode, Susan sits down for an extended conversation with Dr. Milan Reban. This episode was recorded on March 15, 2019, exactly 80 years to the day since Nazi troops descended on Dr. Reban's hometown. Dr. Reban shares vivid memories of his childhood in Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia during World War II, as well as the aftermath of the war and its impact on his own life and that of his family. Dr. Reban also discusses the courses he's taught for OLLI at UNT, many based on his own powerful life story, and how he first became involved with our program.
