In the interview Brock discusses her experiences with the Denton Women's Interracial Fellowship, the Civil Rights Movement, and the facilitation of desegregation in Denton. She also discusses her decision to pursue a political career and bettering race relations while serving as Mayor of Denton.

Whitson discusses his family background, his first jobs and education, his family's canning business, joining the Army Air Force and becoming a bomber pilot, flying B-17s in the European theater, his marriage, building a house, his businesses, becoming involved in the city, and the development of Denton over time.
