In the interview he discusses his decision to enlist in 1983; officer candidate school in 1985; commission as 2nd Lieutenant; Airborne Jumpmaster School; assignment to Italy with 82nd Airborne Division; work with US Border Patrol; Iraq deployment; and difficulties of being a soldier, teacher, student and father. Appendix includes photos of Cunningham with 1st Platoon A Company 325th Airborne Regiment and teaching classes.
