Cave Songs (re)mix

Recording of Daniel Matej's Cave Songs (re)mix. This work was concieved mainly as a "next step" from the sound installation, Caves, which the composer had made with Tibor Szemző in 2004. Many of the used and non-used sounds from that installation were used to create this work. The work as a whole contains 5 separate pieces titled: 1. gospel, 2. blues, 3. de profundis, 4. sex, and 5. ho-chi-min. The composer gives thanks to Mr. Richard Sabo for his technical assistance as well as Jan Boleslav Kladivo for the 'artistic accompaniment'.

Serendipities and Synchronicities

Recording of Pete Stollery's Serendipities and Synchronicities. This piece was commissioned by the Reeling & Writhing Theatre Company, Glasgow as part of Standing Wave, a play about the life and music of Delia Derbyshire. Like the play, the composer of this piece wanted to create something which derived from Delia's work in the 1960s. Much of the material in this work comes from feedback loops that were created years prior when the composer worked with analogue resources. This work premiered at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow in October 2004.

Atropos

Recording of Nikos Stavropoulos' Atropos. The title of this work references one of the Moirae (the Fates) and metaphorically indicates the acousmatic processes involved in the work's composition. While the title is not directly related to the content of the composition, it was chosen to reflect the processes and their relation to the materials. The recording included has a stereo version as well as individual tracks for 6 speakers.

Tranquility
