Udi tula

Recording of Raphaël Panis' Udi tula. This electronics work is a small study based on a Hindu rhythm, "Adi Tâla", played on different synthesizers. The composer describes this piece as a Western transposition of a musical element coming from a foreign tradition. It is up to the listener to hear what they want from the piece and possibly detect something out of the ordinary.

Ka-Boom !

Recording of Aki Pasoulas' Ka-Boom !. This work is based on a recording the composer made of a fireworks display. The composition employs recorded voice that imitates fireworks and the text that was compiled is a combination of onomatopoeia, made-up language and words used in comic books. The structuring of the composition attempts to parallel the human brain's process, while at the same time puts all the information in the time frame of a real-life event.

Recording of Jean Routhier's La bourrée du Comptable Chinois. The sounds used in this work consisted of a Chinese abacus, a Jew's harp, and a musical saw.
