The voice guides the audience through a series of false beginnings that lead to another introduction, rather than a meaningful programmatic development. This piece was designed to represent discrete narrative or musical "voices" using speakers in the performance space. The pitched material is based on the first few passages of Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas".

Recording of Natasha Barrett's Hommage à Parmerud. This work acts as an homage to composer, Ake Parmerud. The two composers undertook a project where they swapped basic sound materials and composed new works based on each other's offerings. This piece is the product of that and gave Barrett the chance to compose her first homage to one of the many composers that have influenced students and professionals worldwide.

Recording of Natasha Barrett's Mobilis in Mobili. This work is the central axis of the larger electroacoustic work "Trade Winds" which was inspired by the vast expanse of sea. The title of the work comes from a novel by Jules Verne. This piece was commissioned by NoTAM with funds from the Norwegian Cultural Council and the Norwegian Composers' Fund. This work includes an excerpt from a sea shanty performed by the Storm Weather Shanty Choir.

Recording of Matías Giuliani's Tres paradigmas. This is a work for electronics that includes a sound sample of Frank Sinatra's song 'New York, New York'.

Recording of Olle Aberg's The wonderful adventures of Dr Olyd and her time-shaping machine. This is a work for electronics that tells the story of a scientist working on a machine that will alter space-time. The composer feels the title suggests a feeling of childhood adventures where anything could happen, which is reflected in the story. The piece has several layers and connotations, and the music amplifies the whole feeling.

Recording of Pete Stollery's Banchory Ears. This work was commissioned by Woodend Arts Association and is a concert version of the music that the composer made to accompany the Banchory Faces photography exhibition in September 2003. The composer collected sonic photographs from various areas of Banchory in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The composer thanks Bertha Forbes, a local historian, for her recollection of sounds and for the use of the interview with her in this piece.

Recording of Colin Black's Bouzouki Abstraction. This work explores the abstract connections between the traditional Greek bouzouki instrument and the constructs of music, heritage, and physical structures displaced in time. This is a bilingual piece that includes text performed in both English and Greek. Musically, this work combines electroacoustic composition, sound art, synthesis, harmonic singing samples, spoken word, and the traditional bouzouki instrument.

Recording of Daniel Matej's Cave Songs (re)mix. This work was concieved mainly as a "next step" from the sound installation, Caves, which the composer had made with Tibor Szemző in 2004. Many of the used and non-used sounds from that installation were used to create this work. The work as a whole contains 5 separate pieces titled: 1. gospel, 2. blues, 3. de profundis, 4. sex, and 5. ho-chi-min. The composer gives thanks to Mr. Richard Sabo for his technical assistance as well as Jan Boleslav Kladivo for the 'artistic accompaniment'.

This work pays homage to George Sand whose combination of acute social conscience and intense artistic sensibility are rare in today's world. This piece speaks on the outcomes of the Industrial Revolution and the first demand of socialism. The material in this piece includes texts by George Sand, fragments of a 19th century folk song, and Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude".

Recording of Frances White's The old rose reader. This is a work for electronics that includes spoken word and flute performance. This recording includes two tracks, one for tape only and one with tape and flute.

Recording of Florivaldo Menezes' Todos os Cantos. This is a work for electronics that includes sound samples of spoken word and voice. There is a small sample of the aria "Queen of the Night" by Mozart.

Recording of Lars Hojerdahl's A une passange. This work is for electronics and is based on a poem by the same name. The composer wove the text into their own musical structure and created this work as a piece of music where moods and rhythms leave traces of the original material.

Recording of Felipe Otondo's Zapping Zappa. This work was created as a humoristic tribute to the composer Frank Zappa. The composer uses different types of samples from the music of Zappa. Within this piece there is a development in terms of timbral rhythmic layers that evolve gradually, changing in sonorities.

Recording of Candy Trash's Artillerie lourde. The composer wrote this piece with the idea of parenting in mind and separates the work into two parts that represent "father" and "mother" respectively. This piece showcases both the heavy weight of responsibility that falls on parents as well as the joy and support of family. The work has been segmented into 5 separate tracks.

Recording of Stelios Giannoulakis' Nectariou 5. This is an electroacoustic work about family and distance. It is about memory and connection as articulated by long distance telephone communication and traveling.

Recording of Kyong Mee Choi's Rumi. This is a work for electronics and includes spoken word of the text, "A Community of the Spirit" written by Jelaluddin Rumi.

Recording of Elainie Lillios' Speaking...again. This is a radiophonic composition based on interviews with Don, a long-time friend of the composer. Don experienced a profound and life-changing challenge in his early 50's and set an example for how we should all approach living through his outlook and determination. Don teaches us not to take the simple things for granted. This work was commissioned by La Muse en circuit and premiered at the Péniche Adélaïde for the radiophonic art prizewinners competition.

Recording of Dirk Veulemans' The weasel is living on the lofts now. This work is a composition for flute with digital processing and 8-track tape. This piece is inspired by our present cosmopolitan, informative, and communicative life environment. The tape version is made from several life recordings.
