Richey has long dark hair and is dressed in a black cowboy hat, a multi-colored jacket, a blue shirt, blue gloves, and blue jeans. The costume of Sparky includes a head with an upside-down bolt on its top, with paper flames erupting from the bolt's end, and an outfit. Sparky's clothes consist of a checkered shirt, a blue vest, a red neckerchief that says "Sparky", red gloves, blue jeans, and tan chaps. At the far side of the road Sparky and Richey stand on is a white wall that runs along the edge of the road and has "Texas" painted on it between two logos. A tall metal fence extends above the wall, beyond which is a large crowd of people seated in bleachers. According to the label on the back of the photo, Tina Richey was chosen at random from the audience in the stands to cut the ribbon.

Aerial photograph of the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track at the Southern Bleacher Classic held at night. The track is oval shaped with a large swath of dirt at its center surrounded by a road lined by a short white wall. Outside this wall is a line of stands around the left side of the track and a row of parked trucks along the right side of the track. According to the label on the photograph's back, a crowd of 20,400 fills the stands. Light on tall poles stand around the inner and outer areas of the track. To the left and outside of the track are two large buildings that sit alongside some of the stands that face the track. The rest of the photo is dark and dotted with yellow, orange, and red balls of light.
