The actors are part of the Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts Ensemble with Michael Holgate (center front) as one of the leading characters of the musical. The musical event was held in sponsorship by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas, Texas and was performed at the Dallas Convention Center Complex in the Naomi Burton Theatre on 650 S. Griffin St., Saturday, February 24th 2001.

A pamphlet that reads, ASHE presents Lift Up Jamaica. "A Musical which encourages Jamaicans to stop hate violence and start working together as a people to Lift Up Jamaica." This program was for the Ashe Caribbean Dance event sponsored by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters in Dallas, Texas.
