Evening gown of tulle, chiffon, and silk in antique gold and pale champagne. Dress is composed of appliqued bands of pintucked organdy edged with antique gold silk blend ribbon on pale champagne tulle, the appliques forming scalloped sections all over dress. Empire waist, strapless with sweetheart neckline. Full skirt, scalloped lower hem. Center back closure with five hidden snaps, zipper, eleven hook and eyes. From cups at bodice extend long rectangular panels of champagne tulle which cross at decollatage and drape over shoulders. Outside edges bordered in ribbon and lace trim. Round neckline; no closure; bracelet-length sleeves with flared and vented cuffs. Lining of white silk jacquard with "Oscar de la Renta" logo. b) Knee-length skirt has ½" waistband; ribbon and lace trim at hems and seams of 8 gores. Evening pantsuit of ivory, blue, and black striped silk consisting of three pieces: a) Mid-length jacket of vertically striped silk with very wide, straight sleeves. Center front opening with no closure. Attached shoulder pads. (b) Pants of matching silk. Full-length, with center back snaps and hook-and-eye closure. Designed to fit loosely, with drawstring waist. (c) Short sleeved tank-style top of matching silk. Sleeveless, with round neckline. The hem, armholes, and neckline are trimmed in black. Each piece has designer's label "Oscar de la Renta".

Hat of brown and coral pink felted rabbit fur. The high cylindrical crown has alternating horizontal stripes of brown and coral pink rabbit fur, with thin bands of gold lamé cording between the bands. The low, sloping, narrow brim is of brown fur with a visible lining of pink fur. Tied around the base of the crown is a double-strand of the gold lamé cording, knotted at side with hanging ends. The hat has an inner white grosgrain ribbon hatband, and is lined in grey felt. Sewn to the inner ribbon band is designer's label: "Ian / D"

Hat with "Pineapple" crown. The domed crown of green felted rabbit fur is worked by gathering, "pinching" and seaming to create a surface resembling a pineapple. Around the hat "orbit" two bands of taupe felted rabbit fur edged in green grosgrain ribbon. They are connected on opposite sides of the hat and extend out into the space around the crown. Crossing the ribbons at one attachment point is a green felted rabbit fur "sheath" from which extend three long pheasant feathers. Inner hatband of green grosgrain ribbon, and with taupe felt lining the inside of the crown. Sewn to the inner hatband is designer's label: "Ian / D"

Styled as a modified breton with upturned brim, the 4" high crown is gently rounded with a wide, twisted hatband of the same material. 17" across, the wide, circular brim extends out and curves out and up and is faced with artificial flowers in red, white, blue, and yellow silk.
