The Kuchling Humanitarian Award and Elizabeth Birch Equality Award were given to Steve Atkinson and Judy Shepard, respectively. Entertainment included performances by Booker T. High School dancers, Jason Walker, and Ellen Lauper, among others. Victoria Gutierrez hosted the Black Tie Dinner auction.

The Elizabeth Birch Equality Award was presented to Bishop V. Gene Robinson. The Kuchling Humanitarian Award was presented to Rebecca Covell and Philip Johnson. The Black Tie Dinner Media Award was presented to Brian Graden of MTV Networks. Victoria Gutierrez hosted the Black Tie Dinner auction.
