Executive Correspondence – Letter dtd 08/10/05 to Chairman Principi from U.S.N. VADM B.M. Kauderer (ret.) requesting the Commission to intervene on behalf of the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) at Submarine base New London. The Admiral describes the essential synergy existing between NSMRL and Submarine Development Squadron 12 (currently based at New London) and the great benefits inherent in collocating NSMRL with operational submarine squadrons. Vice Admiral Kauderer is former Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and former Commander Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet.
