Interview with Homer James "Jim" Avery, founder of James Avery Craftsman from Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Avery discusses his childhood, education, service in World War II, and starting and developing his jewelry business. The interview includes photographs of Mr. Avery, on pages 35-41.

Interview with Wheeler Emerson Mosty, a World War II veteran and retired post office worker from Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Mosty talks about his education, growing up in the Kerrville area, his service in WWII, local people and places, the flood of 1932, and his work at the Post Office. The interview transcript includes picture of Mr. Mosty and his family, on pages 26-30.

Interview with Don Eugene "Gene" Lock, descendant of Kerr County pioneers and rancher from Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Lock talks about how his family ended up in the area, his experience as a rancher, and his memories of horse breeding and racing. He also discusses his work for Kerrville's newspaper, the Mountain Sun, and his Bible education. Mr. Lock mentions briefly that he boxed as a young man.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Abelino Alviar. Alviar joined the Army in May of 1944. In early 1945, he joined the 778th Anti-aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion. They deployed to Le Havre, France, and traveled to Munich, Germany, arriving after the Battle of the Ardennes. Alviar provided guard duty, and served as a gunner on the half-track supporting the 1st Infantry Division as they fought into Germany. He also worked as a translator and helped transport supplies to the front line. He returned home and was discharged in May of 1946.
