Program for a Book-Signing and Reception in Honor of African-American Women Educators & Ruthe Winegarten, author of Black Texas Women. The event was hosted by the San Antonio Chapter of Links, Inc. on October 27th, 1996.

Published three times a year, The Chain is a newsletter for local chapters of The Links, Inc., located in the western United States. It contains letters from the area director as well as chapter reports, financial statements, rosters, member updates, officer information, conference announcements, and other news related to the organization's service and personal development activities.
