[The Evers Hardware storefront]

Photograph of the Evers Hardware storefront in Denton, TX. The front of the building is made of dark red bricks and includes a windowed first floor, shaded by a flat overhang, and a second floor with a large multi-paned window. Through the first-floor's windows, a wide variety of items can be seen stacked inside the store. A mostly legible sign in the far right window says "Extra parking at rear of...Walnut St." A brick mailbox sits on the sidewalk in front of the center window, near the store's entrance. A red Dodge truck sits parked in the photo's bottom left corner while a white car occupies the opposite corner. A line of small rectangular windows sits above the overhang that shade the store's first floor. The second floor has one large window made up by multiple rectangular panes, through which a yellow wheelbarrow can be seen. A white poster has been placed near the window's center and advertises a "special" for "7.97". Above the second-floor window is a rectangle of white stone with "1885. Evers Hardware Co. 1913" in dark letters written on it, partially shaded by a ledge that tops the stone rectangle.

[Denton County Confederate Soldier Monument]

Photograph of the Denton County Confederate Soldier Monument. The monument consists of a small, standalone archway with a confederate soldier statue on its top, a small sphere sitting on either side of the statue. Words around the archway's inner curve read "Our confederate soldiers". Above these words. under the top edge of the archway, is a motif of the letters "C", "S", and "A" as one icon. Rectangular piers support the archway's top section, each with words engraved on them. On each of the piers, near the ground, are singular cone-shaped attachments that both have "1861" engraved on them. Beyond the archway, the walkway it sits on extends into the distance a short way before splitting into three paths that all lead up to the Denton County Courthouse. Large green trees occupy grass growing around the paths. The courthouse itself is a large multi-floor building with rows of rectangular windows, stone bricks walls, and vaulted domes at each of its corners and atop the clocktower on its roof.

[The Pronto Auto Parts 400 race]

Photograph of the Pronto Auto Parts 400 race held at Texas Motor Speedway on June 11, 1999. Two long lines of multi-colored cars drive across three lanes as they cross a checkered line on the road. Along the left edge of the road is a tall line of fencing consisting of poles that slightly curve towards the road below them. A small gap in the fencing is occupied by an elevated blue box with the white text "pronto auto parts" on its side and three people standing inside, two dressed in red shirts while a third person in white waves a green flag. On the left side of the fencing is an open area where over half a dozen people in high-visibility vests stand. A label on the back of the photograph identifies the man waving the green flag as heavyweight boxer Butterbean, who had participated in "Friday Night Fights" in The Speedway Club after Dennis Setzer won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.
