Davis and McCarter also write that they are pleased that the Getty Center for Education in the Arts has sent, to Allen's school board president, a package of materials related to enhancing student achievements through art education. Included with the packet is a questionnaire which asks for a report of any action the board has taken in response to the guide to enhancing student achievements.

Asking if he recalls the lasting Advisory Committee meeting they had in which they set two priority goals. Their first goal to seek continued support for their Portfolio project and their second, to generate potential names for additional committee members. In the letter Davis, McCarter and Reynolds are pleased to report that the Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation has agreed to fully fund the portfolio project and it will be underway once their Summer Institute project is over. In the letter, they ask Anthony if he has any recommendations for committee members and to contact them through note of phone call. Additionally in the letter are details about the Institute's schedule for the summer, and a formal invitations for Anthony to join any them if his schedules allows.
