Davis and his NTIEVA co-director Bill McCarter have discussed bringing Patchen to the University of North Texas, however, there is no justifiable reason to bring him to the School of Visual Arts since Patch is a musician. Davis is planning on sharing Jericho's letter to the David Sharder, Dean of the College of Music as he might have an interested in Patchen speaking with the music faculty.

In regards to their informative progress report covering January through June of 1993. Rosenberg writes that their FY94 request for funding has been delivered to Leilani Lattin Duke's hands and forwarded to Harold Williams of J. Paul Getty Trust for review. Rosenberg writes that she has every confidence that Williams will approve of the funding.

Due to unforeseen scheduling obstacles, Leilani Lattin Duke will be unable to attend the director's meeting on Friday, May 7th, 1994. To accommodate this, Duke requests that the directors' meeting in Laguna Beach be moved back one day.

In reply to a fax from Brown to McCarter with an attachment from Mike Feduk and Braden Kuhlmen to the Satellite Educational Resources Consortium, Inc. The attachment is in regards to descriptors Feduk and Kuhlmen have provided to SERC, in regards to the teleconference between Nebraska and the North Texas Institute. Brown would like to discuss this with McCarter at the meeting in Santa Barbara in January and wonders if Vicki Rosenberg will pay for an extra day to plan.

Representatives of the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts presented a full-day seminar at Baylor University on "Bridging the Curriculum through Art," to teach the correlation between the visual arts and the state-mandated Texas Assessment of Academic Skills, TAAS examinations.

The award was presented to Perkin at the 1994 National Art Education Association convention in Baltimore in April, 1994.
