The Popular Appeal of the Near-Death Experience
Article arguing that as scientific research provides an ever-more-complete physiological explanation of the near-death experience (NDE), popular interest in NDEs will wane, because the transcendental interpretation, which holds that the NDE provides proof of an immaterial soul, an afterlife, and assorted paranormal phenomena, has always been the magnet that has attracted widespread attention to the subject.

Interview with Clarabelle Barton Snodgrass, vice-chair of the Kerr County Historical Commission from Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Snodgrass talks about growing up on a primitive ranch, struggling to survive during the Depression, meeting and marrying her husband, their family, their involvement with music, and her efforts to preserve the history of Kerr County. She also briefly discusses the honors and awards her volunteer work has earned her. Pages 2-13 include a written statement by Miles Abernathy Lowrence, Clarabelle's maternal great-uncle.

Evening coat of black and white satin. Approx. knee-length, with gently rounded V neckline, and center front opening with no closures. Modified "cocoon coat", with a full cut and no fit. 3/4 or slightly longer sleeves with broad cuff with large circular black braid covered non-functional button on each, the button covering a hidden snap. Diagonally set welt pockets at front hips. Lined in cream satin, which gives slight "piped" effect to outer edges.
