Interview with Harry William Crate, former professor of mathematics and engineering with an interest in archaeology from Kerrville, Texas. Professor Crate discusses the results of various fossil and artifact finding expeditions around the Hill Country of Texas, specifically the numerous burned rock mounds found in the Kerry County area. He includes his opinions on why and how the burned mounds were created. As noted in the transcript, the interview continues in the manuscript of Professor Crate's wife, Melba Lee Williams Crate.

Interview with Robert Lee Mosty, World War II veteran and owner/operator of a plant nursery in Center Point, Texas. Mr. Mosty tells stories from his service in WWII, including how his unit was one of the first to meet liberated prisoners of war, as well as how he was wounded and taken prisoner. He also discusses studying at A&M, his work for the National Park Service, and running a plant nursery in the 1920s.

Oral History Interview with Melba Lee Williams Crate, June 9, 1998

Interview with Melba Lee Williams, a former professor and descendant of some of the first settlers in Kerr County, from Kerrville, Texas. In this interview, Mrs. Crate relates how her great-grandparents came with Joshua Brown (Texas pioneer) to the first shingle camp established on the banks of the Guadalupe, in what later became Kerrville. Mrs. Crate briefly details her early life in Bandera, Texas, as well as Kerrville. She also recounts her memories of the flood of 1932.
