Interview with Grant Jones, an insurance executive and a Democratic member of the Texas Senate from Abilene, concerning his experiences and personal views as a member of the Sixty-sixth Legislature. Jones discusses his appointment as chairman of the Finance Committee, the Legislative Budget Board and the budget-making process, Comptroller Bob Bullock, Governor William Clements, the appropriations bill, tax relief legislation, public school financing, the Peveto bill, "Killer Bees," and consumer legislation.
