[Summary of Events at Hawthorne Junior High School]

Summary of events that transpired at Hawthorne Junior High School. According to testimony provided, at the behest of some of the students and amidst accusations of racism against faculty members, members of the Student National Coordinating Committee participated in a conference at the school to open up a dialogue with the school administration. Following this meeting, a police officer approached three SNCC members outside the school and proceeded to arrest them on grounds of disturbing the peace. They were later released on a twenty-five dollar bond.
