Dress of black wool crepe. A-line shaped with mock. Flap pockets and cuffed long straight sleeves. Round neckline. Center front of skirt. Pockets and cuffs are trimmed in black grosgrain. Two box pleats are inserted in back of skirt and the zipper is at center back. b) Belt of same material trimmed in grosgrain.

Pair of brown suede boots. Almost knee-high, the boots are constructed as slip-on rounded-toe shoes or moccasins with added segments on the quarter to create the length of the boots. At the top, the suede of the boots is folded over outwards forming a pocket for a drawstring around top and a band of suede fringe around the outside of the boot. Indistinct trademark/logo stamped on sole. Illegible stamped mark inside boots. Referred to as "Squaw Boots", these were worn by the donor who acquired them in 1968 from the Fishing Bridge Store, in Yellowstone National Park.

Le Canned Dress A) Dress of nylon knit printed with purple, pink and orange triangles arranged in vertical stripes; raised band collar with two buttons covered in self fabric at center back; long sleeves gathered into cuff; straight silhouette with gathers at dropped waist; street length; lapped zipper closure at center back. Designer, retail and size labels at center back. B) Can of bright colored geometric print. Coat of carpet brocade with floral motifs in green, red, yellow, and blue on a white background. Pointed collar, shoulder yoke, long sleeves, fastens CF with self covered buttons, slanted flap pockets at hips, maxi length, lined in white taffeta.

Coat of oatmeal heather wool. Double breasted with 14 circular, beige plastic buttons, 7 functioning with bound buttonholes reinforced with inside large covered snap. Two vertical welt pockets. Long set-in sleeves with three smaller matching, functioning buttons and bound buttonholes. Lined in light beige silk crepe. Coat of pale yellow whipcord wool. Jewel neckline with 1-3/4" mandarin collar. Long, set-in sleeves. Single breasted with two large 1-1/2" smooth, circular black buttons above and 2 buttons below waistline. 3-1/2" wide matching, attached belt with matching black button. Bound buttonholes on coat and belt. Seven inch wide black dyed fox fur trimmed hemline. Vertical, single-welt pockets at each side. Lined in white silk satin. Designer's label at inside back collar: "Norman Norell / New York"

Coat of red wool knit. Double-breasted with 10 self covered circular buttons and 5 bound buttonholes. Full length. Bracelet-length set-in sleeves with white satin, notched cuffs. Notched collar with white satin covered lapels. Vertical welt pockets at sides. Lined in matching white silk. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Norman Norell / New York"

Green wool coat overworked in a red, white and black plaid executed in silk thread.

Coat of hot pink silk with embroidered white polka dots. Collarless neckline; three-quarter length sleeves. Open front. Lined in hot pink silk.

Coat of navy gaberdine wool with 3/4 sleeves. Double breasted with eight, plastic gold color buttons. Four welt button holes. One and one-half inch epaulets with matching buttons. Convertible collar. Patch pockets with two inch flap. Kick flaps at left and right back side seams. Lined with acetate. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Coat of tiger fur with sable (fox?) fur trim. Mid-length. Long sleeves with 4" sable cuffs. Shawl collar of sable extends down center front opening to 10" border around hemline. Fully lined in brown silk; embroidered initials "DMM" at right side opening. Lining has 11" pleated brown silk "skirt" with brown velvet seam. Neckline and right side of opening are of navy gaberdine wool. Long, set in sleeves having cuffs of navy gaberdine wool with two smaller matching buttons and bound buttonholes. Two large patch pockets at left and right are also trimmed with matching navy bands across tops of pockets. Lined in red silk crepe. Collar, sleeves, and hem with wide bands of mirrored rhinestone beads/sequins. Attached sash/belt at waist. Center-back zipper, with hook-and-eye at collar. Lined in lighter material of the same color. Cocktail ensemble of orange wool with embroidered pattern of small squares of orange and silver novelty thread which form a larger abstract pattern. Ensemble consists of: A) Cocktail dress. Knee-length, sleeveless dress with rounded neckline edged with gold braid trim accented with gold studs and silver rhinestones. Bodice with princess seaming for fit. Attached belt of same fabric at natural waist edged by bands of same braid as neckline. Skirt gathers at waistline, and has side slit pockets at hips. Hem of skirt trimmed with same braid as neckline. Dress has a center back zipper, and is fully lined in orange acetate. Cocktail dress of blue, aqua and white rayon/nylon blend brocade with gold metallic lurex threads in stylized chrysanthemum flower and semi-circle or rainbow motif. Knee-length. Center front zipper is hidden by ivory satin placket with 5 self-covered buttons. Double collar of brocade under and ivory satin upper. Short sleeves. Two patch pockets with flaps and ivory satin covered button on front at sides. Princess seams. Inverted pleat in back starts at waistline; half belt band on back waistline is finished inside princess seams. Lined in blue rayon jacquard with "Mori Hanae" imprint.
