Arlan's of New York hopes to open the new stores about November 1, Jesse Sims, superintendent for Goodrich Building Corp., said. Goodrich is doing the work for $1.5 million, 135,000 square foot buildings, which will be able to handle about 1,000 cars. Sims, his brother, is superintendent of the N May job. Arlan's is a complete line department store, including food stores. Its decision to locate here was announced some months ago."

The worship service at the City Rescue Mission, 523 S Robinson, had most characteristics of such services associated with this type of evangelizing, except for one thing: Nearly half the congregation was teen-agers..."It gives you a feeling you're helping somebody. Watershed, Flood Waters Sans Bois Creek

Photograph of Cecil Presfield driving amphibious car returning Mrs. Jim Presfield home from work along with the Presfield children and neighbos Dan Condo's children home from school. During floods Sans Bois Creek overflows into the Grassy Lake area cutting off all access roads. They must use boat, amphicar, or horses to cross the 10 to 12 feet of water over the roads. Presfield has 500 acres, most in Sans Bois bottom. He lost 2 calves in this flood. In the last previous flood he lost 8 head from pneumonia after swimming out to high ground.
