The first section describes the basic types of information materials and indicates the sources from which each type may be obtained. The second section describes bibliographic materials that identify literature published on a given subject.

This the the final report documenting some basic studies on radiation technology for the purpose of generating and developing new technical information of pertinence to radiation processing through basic studies in radiation technology.

From abstract: "A previous study of equipment necessary for clean-up following a nuclear accident indicated a need for a portable television system capable of operating in hazardous environments during recovery operations. A system to accomplish this is described and justified in this study."

Report documenting the ongoing progress and economic concerns of Saline Water Conversion Demonstration Plant No. 1 in Freeport, Texas.

From Introduction & Scope: "This study was undertaken for the Office of Saline Water to determine the optimum brine heater outlet temperature in single-purpose sea water conversion evaporators for several fuel costs, based on balancing the increased performance ratio possible with high-temperature operations against the increased cost of pressure vessels, corrosion protection, and scale control."

Report presenting some of the progress made in saline water conversion so that the data can contribute to the long-range development of economical processes applicable to large-scale, low-cost demineralization of sea and other saline water.

Report regarding the development of a new approach to dropwise condensation, understanding the role of nucleation in the process, and the possibility of permanent dropwise condensing surfaces. Report includes historical background, experiments with elements and dropwise condensation, economic considerations, and publications that came from his program.

"WR16, a program written in 3600-FORTRAN for a CDC-3600 digital computer, calculates, as a function of time, the concentrations of all the species taking part in the simultaneous first- and second-order chemical reactions occurring during and after exposure to ionizing radiations occurring during and after exposure to ionizing radiation of any chemical system (for example, an aqueous solution). Homogeneous reaction kinetics is assumed for the computation. The variation of electrical conductivity and optical absorbance of the system can also be computed" (p. 1).

Report issued by the Argonne National Laboratory discussing the PACER-65 computer program. As stated in the summary, the program "has been developed and utilized for flow sheet calculations and process-data reduction. PACER-65 is an executive program in which material- and energy-balance equations, conversion factors, etc., for each processing step are described by separate subroutines" (p. 5). This report includes tables, and illustrations.
