Harris said additional charges are being considered against Vaught, 46, who lives in Shawnee. Vaught surrendered to a Pottawatomie County jailer Tuesday night and said he was the driver of a truck that blocked one lane of I/ H. 40 near Westminster Road. The car driven by Clarence E. Burns, 57, of 1511 Hummingbird , crashed into the rear of the truck`s tailgate decapitated Burns. The information filed against Vaught Wednesday listed as witnesses for the state two highway patrol officers who investigated the accident, and a couple whose car also was struck by the flying tailgate, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Earl Boen.
