Police say the truck apparently ran over both of them and crashed through the utility pole. Knisley was reported in satisfactory condition at Baptist Memorial Hospital."

Caption: "Three persons were seriously injured Thursday night in a car-pickup crash at Linwood Blvd. and N McKinley in which both vehicles overturned. Rushed to Mercy Hospital where all were to be admitted were Jerry Dale Boyd, 26, and his wife, Carrol Ann, 19, both of Waterloo, Iowa, and Beverly Elaine Fillmore, 19, of 905 SE 70. Boyd suffered a skull fracture in the accident and both women received multiple lacerations and other injuries, police said. Accident investigator I. H. Hardgraves said the pickup with Boyd at the wheel, was going north on McKinley when it was hit on the right front side by the westbound auto. The sides of both vehicles slammed into each other as the autos took a northwesterly course, the officer said, and both vehicles overturned."
