Introduction: This report has been prepared to document the extensive analytical work required to design the control system for the Sodium Components Test Installation (SCTI), constructed for the Atomic Energy Commission at the Atomics International field laboratory.

Abstract: One hundred gram quantities of uranium dioxide, irradiated to burnup as great as 21,000 Mwd/MTU and previously reprocessed by AIROX (Atomics International Reduction Oxidation), were refabricated into high density pellets and encapsulated for re-irradiation.

Progress report for the Piqua Reactor Operations Analysis Program describing observations and analyses at the Piqua Nuclear Power Facility (PNPF). The program goals are to monitor operations and collect data in order to ensure that the plant's operation is safe, to improve design and performance, to evaluate the performance and lifetime of the plant's components and systems, to evaluate plant safety and safeguards, and to disseminate all information to the scientific community.

Introduction: A series of critical and subcritical experiments have been carried out as part of the Advanced Sodium Graphite Reactor (ASGR) Critical Experiments program to provide physics information which would be directly applicable to the AGSR concept.

From introduction: "In June, 1963, a geophysical research program was conducted at Hanford to determine the feasibility and desirability of using seismic methods in geohydrologic studies. Detection and delineation were desired of seven different geological features that in some sites affect the movement of liquid radioactive wastes discharged to the ground."

Report discussing the relationship between quantum field theory and the the statistical theory of waves. Basic equations exist in the latter theory which correspond closely to the fundamental equations of the former theory; i.e., to the commutation relations and the Heisenberg equation of motion. A probability density function of waves is introduced here which corresponds to the probability amplitude function in quantum mechanics. The theory of the statistical Green's functions and their relationships to the expectation values of the physical variables is also extensively developed. It is found that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between the formalism of Green's functions presented here and that used in field theory.

Report of a study that "was conducted to determine the attenuation provided by vertical and horizontal barriers exposed only to skyshine radiation from cobalt-60 and cesium-137 sources. Materials of steel, aluminum, concrete, and wood were used as barriers" (p. 5).

From Introduction: "The following report describes an ultramicro procedure using ANSA as reducing agent. The method is a modification of the method of Kaser and Baker (4). Results obtained with this method are compared to results obtained with the procedure of Dryer, Tammes, and Routh (2) adapted for ultamicro analysis (3). The latter method uses N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (NPPD) as the reducing agent."
