There were no injuries. Firement at the scene said the fire apperantly was touched off by a grass blaze along the railroad tracks adjacent to the corrugated building. The rear of the building - where tires, batteries, filters, grease and oil were stored...George Adkins, manager of the warehouse, said he could not estimate damages. Sgt. C. L. Posey, of the Oklahoma City police department, said the alarm was sounded after two officials had gone to the scene to investigate a ringing burglar alarm. A fireman battles the Warner Oil blaze."

"We are on the threshold of a new era in aviation," Schulte told the crowd,"and Oklahoma is in the threshold of a new era of industrial growth. This building symblizes the relationship between aviation and that growth. Two interested persons get on tip-toes to give civilian aircraft the once-over Sunday at Wiley Post Airport."

Erection of the 42 structures began last week under a $2 million city bond issue, and the arean should be completed about mid-1965. The oval building will be 318 feet wide, 402 feet long, and will be heated and air conditioned. It was designed to house circuses, ice shows and other large events coming to Oklahoma City."

The toll road will open March 1 - three months ahead of the schedule. The toll plaza, pictures above, is at the Oklahoma City end of the new turnpike just south of Newcastle bridge over the South Canadian River six miles south of Will Rogers World Airport. Opening of the second leg, between Lawton and Randlett, is scheduled June 15. When completed and opened to traffic, the turnpike will stretch from the Newcastle bridge to Randlett, near Burkburnett, Texas. the new pike is being financed by $56.5 million bonds."
