Ensemble of navy blue . Jacket. Cropped, single breasted jacket has rounded neckline and no lapels, to allow bow of dress to show. Center front closure of 3 self-covered buttons with bound buttonholes. Long sleeves with double row of snaps around each cuff, for missing cuffs. Lined in blue silk. Designer's label at inside back collar: "George Halley / New York" Retailer's label at right inside near buttons: "Bonwit Teller" Union label and side label at left side seam. Size 6. Dress. Knee-length or slightly longer, with rounded neckline with large blue satin bow at throat. Sleeveless, with wide straps. Bodice seamed, with slightly raised waist into which A-line skirt is gathered. Side slit pockets at hips. Center back zipper. Around neckline are a series of 5 self-covered snaps along left side, and evidence of removed stitches for a collar on right side. Lined in black, with dark mauve band near inner hem. Designer's label at inside left by zipper: "George Halley / New York"
