Caption: "Charred wreckage of Preston Keel's car, after the flames were extinguished, reveals the heat generated by the helicopter which crashed beside the vehicle, killing the helicopter pilot. Shawnee--An army reserve pilot was killed when his helicopter crashed on U. S. 270 east of Shawnee late Sunday. The plummeting ship barely missed a car carrying three Pottawatomie County residents and set the vehicle afire. Killed in the crash was CWO James Edward Sivils, 28, of Shawnee who was ferrying the helicopter from Seminole to the Shawnee airport."
