Calotte of beaded black satin. Evening hat in the form of a calotte (also spelled "calot"). The low, domed crown is made of segments of black satin over a core of woven straw. The surface is embellished with black plastic sequins and beads of various sizes. At top of crown is small squashed spheroid finial covered with a pattern of cylindrical and circular faceted black plastic beads. Inside lower edge of crown is black grosgrain ribbon band. Sewn behind band are three elastic loops to help secure hat to head of wearer. No labels.

Day coat of mustard yellow wool. Double breasted with six circular plastic buttons of same yellow color. Street length with 3/4 length sleeves. Two single welt front pockets on a diagonal. Center back seam has 12 inch split at bottom. Lined in yellow silk. Designer's label: "EISA"

Coat dress of lightweight navy blue woven mohair wool. a) Coat has roll collar and center front opening trimmed in black woven onto edge. Below knee length. Short sleeves, seam at waist, gore styling. Four circular navy plastic buttons down front. Two snap closure belt loops at left and right. Has white starched, glazed, gardenia of linen attached to left front. Unlined. b) Narrow belt of navy leather with long rectangular buckle of same. One punched hole. Back has two sewn on loops to be attached to snap closure belt loops on dress.

Cocktail coat of brown wool with sable trim around hem, collar and down front opening. Open front with 3/4 sleeves. Lined in brown silk. Tag at bottom right hem: "SRA: DE / OSBORNE / 964" Second tag at bottom right hem: "8"

Ensemble of oatmeal colored wool tweed: a) Jacket of beige and black wool tweed with V-neckline with standard notched collar and wide lapels; short, princess seams; 3/4 length, set in, two piece sleeves; double breasted opening with four round, plastic, beige buttons and two bound buttonholes supplemented by single large covered snap inside lap at waist; fully lined in beige silk. Label stitched inside back neck below collar. b) Dress of same; sleeveless; falling just below the knee; deep rounded neckline; empire waist seam; straight skirt has slight gathers in front; left side underarm zipper closure supplemented by single hook&eye closure; folded hem; armhole and neck facings; brassiere strap keepers snap inside shoulders; unlined.

Evening ensemble. a) Evening gown of black crepe. Strapless; full length with empire waist and bodice of pink silk crepe. Straight line silhouette. Bodice forms V at center back narrowing into pleats at closure with petal-shaped fold of black crepe which covers back of bodice and snaps below waistline. Center back zipper. Bodice has attached black corset with boning with separate zipper and cups of black lace. Unlined. b)Vest of black crepe. Sleeveless with jewel neckline. Cropped length at front and elongating to tails at sides and back. Center back opening with single hook & eye closure at neckline.

Evening gown of black rayon velvet; bustle trimmed with ermine tails; column shaped; built-in undergarment with boning; bustle lined in buckram.

Headpiece constructed as small waterfall of pink coq feathers attached to very small wired oval frame with one inch wide wired extension to hold feathers higher atop head. No markings.

Pamela/halo hat of royal blue felt. The high, cylindrical crown is slightly domed at top, and is encircled by the wide brim, which is upturned almost to vertical, forming a "wall" around the crown. The hat is unlined, with a dark blue inner grosgrain ribbon headband, and small attached comb to help secure hat to wearer's head. Designer's label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris"

Dress of bright green linen. Below-knee-length daytime dress of heavy linen, wrap-style/coat dress. Slight V-neckline formed by the wrap construction. Opening on front left, secured by 2 pairs of large white "woven" plastic buttons, 2 hooks and eyes at top, and 2 hidden snaps at middle.Capped sleeve effect. 2 slit pockets at hips in side seams. Day dress of bright yellow linen. Sleeveless with jewel neckline; contrasting, darker yellow top-stitching. Empire waist.

Cape or poncho of brown and tan woven wool shag tweed with bound outside edges of taupe leather. Knee length. Center front closure of three brass turn locks with two additional turn locks on the taupe leather band collar. Open sides close with one matching brass toggle closures. Large patch pockets at side with opening bound in taupe leather. Unlined.

Burnt orange cotton and leather A-line coat. The main body of the coat is of heavy. burnt orange. cotton canvas. High round neckline with burnt orange leather spread collar. Full-length set-in sleeves. Center front opening with three brass toggle closures to waist-level. Asymmetrical leather pocket detail down the left side representing a shoulder bag. Zippered exterior pocket. The collar. pocket detail and center front opening are top-stitched in white thread. Fully lined in heavy. orange cotton duck. The lining is swing tacked at each seam to the outer shell. Label stitched over right side seam.
