A letter written to "Daddy" [T. N. Carswell] from "Mother" [Byrdie Carswell]. Byrdie Carswell advises T. N. Carswell that the glasses prescribed by Dr. Fish were dim, she could not see through them and that Dr. Fish is a mess.

Letter from C. J. Ruilmann to Carl Benken discussing Mr. Dalton's stay at the Big Spring Hospital. He explains that Mr. Dalton was not badly treated in the hospital and regrets that the incident happened. He also agrees that the hospital is understaffed and attests that to a limited budget.

Letter from Jack Sayles to Truett Latimer discussing accusations made against Dr. Harrison in regards to Mr. A. E. Dalton's treatment at the Big Spring Hospital and the cause of his eventual death. Mr. Sayles defends Dr. Harrison and the hospital citing his sister as one of the patients of the hospital who was treated well.

Advisement of a price increase due to increased costs for Byrdie Carswell Support, Maintenance and Treatment Account. Handwritten note by Carswell at bottom of page advises that on September 28, 1961 a check was mailed for October.

O'Brien expresses his pleasure at having the occasion to meet and fellowship with Carswell even if only briefly all these years and reminisces about the "good days at old Simmons College". He expresses his pleasure in doing the favor [witnessing Mrs. Carswell's signature] and for the check which he put into the building fund "hoping it will yield dividends for all eternity".

Carswell references a letter from Harrison and advises that he has received no word on whether he owes or is due a refund from the hospital. Carswell requests the opinion of Harrison's medical staff as to whether or not her heavy medication has anything to do with Mrs. Carswell's poor physical condition.
