This photo appeared in the November 19, 1967, issue of the Denton Record-Chronicle. The headline was, "Welcome to Our Community Building." It was taken Saturday night during the grand opening of the Denton Civic Center, which was then referred to as the Denton Community Building. Pictured, left-to-right: Dr. J. David Thomas, chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board; Mrs. Williams Johnson, board member; Mayor, Zeke Martin; architect O'Neil Ford; and City Manager, Jack Reynolds.
