Fire Damage to Native Grass

Photograph of a pasture of native grass in excellent condition. Approximately 200 acres of grass and timber was destroyed before this fire was brought under control. Stephens County Civil Defense fire fighting units assisted in extinguishing the fire. Fire started by a careless farmer who was burning a fire break 1/4 mile south of this field.
