Resolution of League of United Latin American Citizens at the Texas Regional LULAC Convention held in Galveston, Texas, January 26-27, 1952. This resolution concerns the study written by Lyle Saunders and Olen E. Leonard entitled "The Wetback in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas." The resolution commends the authors for their work but condemns the attitudes of those who have used the study to distort the issue of the laborers in the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

The letter addresses discriminatory decisions of attorneys during jury selection in the Texas courts when choosing between Latin American or Anglo jurors. The letter also relates details of judgment in court case against Roberto Jiminez in Brownsville, mentioning irregularities in jury selection and possible perjury of witnesses.

Letter from Hector P. Garcia, M.D., of Corpus Christi, Texas, to John J. Herrera dated October 27, 1952. Garcia discusses a tape recording of his meeting with Adlai Stevenson in his campaign for president, as well as other recordings about the need to vote for the Democratic ticket.

Letter from John J. Herrera, LULAC National Prseident to all LULAC Councils, dated January 27,1953. Per complaints received at the LULAC Supreme Council Meeting about not receiving the LULAC News, Herrera asks for updated master mailing lists. Herrera discusses re-installation of members in San Angelo LULAC Men's Council Number 129; encourages council members to pay dues so they are eligible to attend the upcoming conventions; and mentions the court case of George Sanchez of Palacios, Texas and an upcoming meeting with the Commissioner of Education regarding the Pecos Segregated Mexican School case.

Letter from C. R. Tips, President of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, typed on organization letterhead and dated March 27, 1953. The letter informs members about the annual meeting to be held at the Shamrock Hotel in Houston on April 21, 1953. Included is a brief overview of the itinerary, reminders about dues, and information on rooms at the hotel.

Funeral program for Warren West. The funeral was held October 27, 1953 at St. Paul Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Earnest A. Smith. Funeral arrangements were made through the Frank E. Lewis Funeral Home, and he was buried in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery near San Antonio, Texas.

Letter from Patrick Flores to John J. Herrera wishing him luck on his and LULAC's efforts to bring Baytown together as a community. Flores mentions seeing Herrera's name on a program for a Coronation Ceremony and beneficial supper, but it is not indicated which he is addressing. This letter was written from St. Mary's Seminary in La Porte, Texas.

Letter to John J. Herrera from Tony Campos, Chairman of District Eight Convention of League of United Latin American Citizens, inviting Herrera to attend the District VIII Conection of LULAC on May 23, 1954. Campos urges Herrera to help get people excited to attend the Convention. Campos includes a post scrip that reassures Herrera that District VIII is still backing him for the Presidency of LULAC.

Letter from Oscar M. Laurel to John J. Herrera thanking Herrera for the congratulatory letter. Laurel accepts that Herrera supported who he needed to support during the election, but is glad to count Herrera as a supporter during his administration.
