Cast of Philip Barry's play, Second Threshold, was performed in the main auditorium of North Texas State College. Members of the cast are Charles Taliaferro as Josiah Bolton, Una Glazener as Miranda, Jack Dunlop as Dr. Toby Wells, Mike Henderson as Jock Bolton, Marian Laminack as Thankful Mother, and Jim Swain as Malloy, the butler. The play was performed on Thursday and Friday nights starting Thursday, December 6, 1951.

The El Fenix Cafe menu contains the names and prices of their dishes, desserts, and beverages. The restaurant offered cocktails and relishes, salads, sandwiches, eggs and omelettes, soups, chicken and steak dinners, nonalcoholic beverages, wines, beer, fish, and a variety of Mexican dishes. The Special Mexican Dinner cost $1.25 at the time of this menu. A poem by James J. Metcalfe is written on the back of the menu.

This issue of the Texas Parade contains an article entitled "Diversified Denton" and includes information regarding John B. Denton, the city of Denton in general, North Texas State College, and Texas State College for Women. The article describes Denton's schools, agriculture, commerce, and other attractions circa 1951.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Williams in formal wear standing outside of their home. Will Williams was a long-time Denton businessman who owned The Williams Store on the Square and stock raiser, famous for his Shetland Pony herds. He married Effie Wright and they had four children. Effie was civic-minded and served as county chairman for the Texas Centennial Commission, charter member for the First Methodist Church, the local chapter of the DAR, the Ariel Club, and the Denton Historical Society.
