From abstract: A reconnaissance to determine the uranium content of granitic rocks in the western states was made during parts of October and November 1951. The paucity of our knowledge of the granitic rocks that are most likely to contain significant quantities of uranium has prevented all but a very general isolation of areas or types of granitic rocks for reconnaissance examination.

This report follows an investigation of a cargo truck found contaminated by various radioactive material on a routine trip from Arco, Idaho to the Hanford plant on May 8, 1952. The report analyzes the truck's route in an attempt to find the location of the contaminating region.

Abstract: The data obtained from the radioassay of fish collected in vicinity of the Hanford Works between April, 1948 and June, 1950 are presented. Most of the radioactivity in the fish resulted from the concentration of p32 in the scales, bone, and certain visceral organs. The level of activity density in the fish was influenced by size, feeding habits and metabolic rate in addition to the activity density of the water. Changes in operation of nuclear reactors have resulted in progressive increases in activity densities of fish from one year to the next. The levels of radioactivity are not sufficiently high to be hazardous to either the fish or persons eating them.

He mentioned that their Cherry harvest has started and that they'll ship his package as soon as possible. He also mentions that they'd be happy to fill his order for July Nectarines, but they wouldn't be ready before July 25th. And he mentions that the cherries will reach him promptly and in good condition.

From Introduction and Summary: "This report gives results of an investigation of the carbonizing properties of 18 coals, including 2 from Alaska, 12 from British Columbia, 3 from Washington, and 1 from Utah. Each coal was carbonized in the standard 13-inch Bureau of Mines-American Gas Association (BM-AGA) retort at 900 degrees C."
