Four button closures at center front with bound buttonholes, two above and two below waist/belt. Hook and eyes at waistline. Long sleeves with rolled cuffs and underarm gussets. In-seam pockets at sides. Flared skirt, pleated in back. Simulated "shirtwaist" decoration at front of skirt. Unlined. Pillbox hat of cream satin entirely covered with beading and rhinestones. The low, circular crown is covered in a ground of silver/white sequins with scattered fuchsia and clear rhinestones and light blue beads. Pillbox hat of knit material with embroidery and mirrors.

Hat of blue velvet. This modified pillbox hat is formed as a turban of draped blue velvet, extending slightly downwards at sides. The hat is lined inside with black satin, and has an inner hatband of blue grosgrain ribbon. A small star stitched to the inner hatband indicates the front of the hat. Attached to either side of the inner hatband are two small plastic combs to secure hat to wearer's head. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Irene of New York". Retailer's label sewn to inner hatband: "Neiman-Marcus / Salon" Retailer's paper tag attached to inner hatband: "A810 / RISCN2 / 5117 / 4995"

Hat of natural straw. Circular straw crown, slightly domed, with black grosgrain ribbon around base and surrounded by shaped straw brim. Brim is rounded in front for about 2/3 of circumference, and bound up with red stitching at back to form three corners at back. All edges of brim turned-up and edged in black velvet ribbon. From above, brim shape resembles a baseball field. Inside of crown with black grosgrain inner hatband, to which is attached two black elastic cords to secure combs to help hold hat on wearer's head. At front of hat is stitched a small "F" on the inner hatband to show front of hat. Designer's label inside crown at inner band: "Wm Silverman / New York", with smaller logo-form tag sewn in under larger label: "Wm Silverman" with scissors, needle and thread.

Hat of black velvet and beading. The hat is styled as a calotte (also spelled "calot") of black velvet, with an irregular lower edge. Set around the calotte are 5 large tear-drop shaped rhinestones, 4 at front and 1 at back. Each stone is bordered by concentric bands of pearls, small rhinestones and gray tubular beads. The beading bands continue around the hat, linking the larger stones, and becomes the lower border of the hat. The hat is lined with black satin, and has an inner hatband of black grosgrain ribbon. A small stitched mark on the inner hatband indicates the front of the hat. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Ere Nouvelle / New York / Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." Sewn to maker's label is size label: "22 / MSC"

Day dress of gray and yellow windowpane plaid cotton.

Breton hat of blue fur felt. The domed crown is encircled by a wide band of blue grosgrain ribbon with large bow at back. The wide brim curves up and out around the crown, and is lined in the same fur. The crown is unlined, with a blue grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Body manufacturer's stamp inside crown: "Imported Body / Milady / Made in the United Kingdom" Retailer's label inside: "Neiman-Marcus"

Hat of natural straw. The low, domed crown is encircled by a green velvet ribbon, and enhanced with artificial flowers in yellow, coral, and peach. Hat of gathered white net with small white flowers. Appearing somewhat as a turban, the hat has a conical crown of stiff netting which is completely surrounded by masses of gathered tulle net forming a dense "cloud" into which are placed tiny artificial white fabric daisies on small stems. Lined in a stiff patterned net edged with gold and cream braid. With pearl-headed hatpin. Designer label: Styled by / Jack McConnell / New York Measurements: 37 cm across x 19 cm high
