The schools, at 1900 S Everst in the Top of the Town area, will take some weight off present elementary school at SE 15 and Eastern. West Oak Park school, an 11-room unit of contemporary design will be completed in 13 days. A sister school, East Oak Terrace, will be handed to district officials this week. Contracts were let in September to the Dave martin Construction of Oklahoma City. "Both units are being completed none too soon," Earl A. Drennan, superintendent said. "Children in the 577-home Top of the Town area will have a school of their own now." The Mansfield area school will serve a 635-home section only recently completed. Students previously attended the Crooked Oak school some distance away. Drennan said the West Oak school is a joint district-park project for which the park department supplied the site.
