Video footage of Bell Helicopters' XH-40 flight demonstration for the U. S. Army. The XH-40 is a six-place, turboshaft-powered light helicopter, designed with the primary mission of battlefield medical evacuation. Operated by one or two pilots, it could carry four passengers. Bell Aircraft Corporation Chief Pilot Floyd W. Carlson and Chief Experimental Test Pilot Elton J. Smith made the first flight of the Bell Model 204 (designated XH-40-BF serial number 55-4459 by the United States Army) at Bell’s helicopter factory in Hurst, Texas.

A "public service presentation of Chrysler Corporation" that shows a humorous story of a journalist who is sent to photograph the new line of Chrysler cars at an auto show in Detroit. The journalist's photographer doesn't make the trip so he warily hires a six-year-old photographer, Junebug Clark, who saves the day. A schoolteacher, standing at a blackboard, introduces the story and talks about Detroit's reputation as a car manufacturing town or "Motor City." The conclusion of the video reveals that Junebug Clark is one of the students in the teacher's class.

This home movie documents the daily lives and activities of the Cochran family including holidays and community events. The film begins with an Easter celebration including hunting eggs and rides at a small carnival (00:00-01:20) and the family picnicking at a lake and children swimming in a small pool (01:20-03:52). The family then observes a December 1959 parade celebrating the opening of the Stemmons Freeway in Dallas. The parade includes marching bands and drill teams, actress Yvonne de Carlo, KRLD-TV's "The Sky King," children in Native American costume, clowns, antique cars, a military tank, the Dallas Sheriff's Posse, and a float with a large Interstate 35 (I-35) sign (03:52-07:23). The family then views an outdoor Christmas exhibit (7:23-7:47) and celebrates Christmas (07:47-15:39). The Cochran children receive jumpsuits advertising their father's business which read "Plumbing by Jay."

Fort Worth Flooding and Evacuation
Shot by the staff of Congressman Jim Wright, this footage captures the aftermath of a flood in Fort Worth, most likely from 1957. In May of that year, after weeks of torrential rains across Texas, more than 4,000 people were evacuated from unprotected lowlands along local creeks and the West Fork of the Trinity River in Fort Worth. In the film, residents combat severe floodwaters, salvaging property out of their homes and evacuating by boat to higher ground. Wright also appears to survey the damage and help in relief efforts.
