Berryman depicting caricatures of Sam Rayburn, dressed as a cowboy holding onto the reins of a donkey noted to be "HOUSE MAJORITY." Rayburn is shaking hands with Garner. Garner says, "NOW RIDE HIM COWBOY!" This is a commentary on Rayburn's election to Majority Leader. Berryman autographed the cartoon in the lower right corner with the words, "TO MY GOOD OLD TEXAN FRIEND SAM RAYBURN WHO WAS 'BORN TO LEAD' WITH HEARTY ASSURANCE THAT I'LL BE ON THE CHEERLINE!
