A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Louis C. Perry, District Governor Lions International, dated January 19, 1924. Perry expresses his appreciation for the support of the Abilene Club and promotes his idea for sub-dividing Texas into four Districts creating four District Governors in order to reduce the burden on one District Governor thus enabling Lionism in Texas to grow and serve.

A letter written to Col. Lewis C. Perry, Terrell, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, dated January 16, 1924. Carswell explains concerning the District Governorship election and the intention of the Abilene club to propose Lion Green for the Governorship. Carswell writes, "We of the Abilene club are of the opinion, Col. Perry, that Lionism can be best served by your re-election — if you elect not to serve we will push Lion Green's candidacy".
