From left to right, the fourth row has been identified as Marianna Berndt, Laura Petersen, Marvin Petersen, and Harry Hermansen. On the back of the photograph, rough patches of black paper remain from wherever the photograph was torn out of.

Old Danevang Farmers Coop Picture

Photograph a cotton gin next to the Danevang Farmers Cooperative building in Danevang, Texas. Accompanying information states this was the first cotton gin built on the property. A cluster of buildings in the center is surrounded by different types of agricultural implements and machines. Behind the main Cooperative building on the right, a water tower is visible. Postcard of a two-story structure in Danevang, Texas, belonging to H. P. Jensen. A picket fence surrounds the house. Both H. P. Jensen and Mrs. H. P. Jensen stand in the front porch of their home, which is covered by a sloping roof projection creating an overhang. Additionally, there are intersecting hip roofs and a single chimney at the very top. There is a sign that hangs on the right side of the first floor that reads, "Danevang Post Office." A white sticker on the front of the photograph reads, "H. P. Hermansen was Postmaster for 35 years. He was also a weather man. He kept a record of the rainfall."

Two photographs held together by a piece of tape on the back. They are both images of the Nelsen family home, taken at disparate times. The top photograph, a Polaroid print, was taken from a side angle a short distance away from a disheveled fence. The house has white siding and hip roofs, as well as several windows of identical design and dimensions. A young boy is standing near an entrance off to the right in the shadows. The bottom photograph, taken much earlier than the first and from a farther distance, captures the front view of the house. A gable roof projection in the first floor creates an overhang for the front entrance. It appears to have been taken during the winter judging by the snow-covered lawn and trees. In the distance, an outbuilding can be seen, presumably a part of the Nelsen homestead.

Release of Oil and Gas Lease (open access)

Release of Oil and Gas Lease

Release document of an oil and gas lease between the Roxana Petroleum Corporation and Carl Harton and his wife Christiane Harton. The document states that the petroleum company is relinquishing 70 acres of property in Wharton County, along with all rights, to the Hartons. Signatures were made on the bottom by the vice-president of the corporation and a notary. When closed, on the back, the top quarter of the document condenses the document into two lines of text that read, "Release of Oil and Gas Lease Roxana Petroleum Corporation To."

El Campo Cotton Platform

Photograph taken at El Campo Cotton Platform, which appears to be a kind of property used for the processing and harvesting of cotton. On the platform itself, there are various stacked piles of cotton and hay bales. A procession of horse-drawn wagons on the dirt road in front of the platform are moving forward. Helvig J. Berndt is in one of the wagons, but his actual location hasn't been specified. Additionally, two children can be seen joining the male driver in the front wagon. The photograph has been placed on a stiff mat board which is chipping on the bottom corners.

[Danish Ladies Aid at Parsonage]

Photograph of the Danish Ladies Aid organization in front of their parsonage. They are joined by a couple of children and, according to accompanying information, Pastor Kyhl, who is presumably the man on the farthest right of the photograph. The women, the majority of them in late age, wear long, dark-colored dresses and have their hair pinned back. The two-story structure behind them has a shingled overhang supported by a row of columns that runs across the front. An early automobile model is seen in the very distance. Hand-written text in blue ink on the back of the photograph reads "Danevang Parsonage. Pastor Kyhl - 1926".
