Postcard addressed to Katharine Bahl, "Mrs. J. P. Bahl", of Waco, Texas, from Harry Bahl in San Antonio. Harry states he is having a "good time" and anticipates he will be home soon. The front of the post card depicts a large pagoda at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio. At left, people walk past footpaths lined with ferns onto stairs that lead to the leftmost wing of the pagoda. Along the bottom of the picture is a lower section of the park, below the pagoda, which contains more pathways, stone walls holding garden planters, and an arched stone bridge over a calm pond lined with bushes and flowers.

Postcard of a group of firemen posing on three fire trucks outside of an unidentified building in Hallettsville, Texas. According to accompanying information, the first truck on the far left is a 1920 chemical fire truck and the persons posing on it (left to right) are Julius G. Jalufka, Freddie Buss, Henry Pohl, and Collie McCord. The middle truck is a 1918 fire truck and the persons posing on it (left to right) are Paul H. Fertsch, Joseph F. Fritsch, Otto Hanak, Emil Burkett, and (standing) N. A. Moreland. The third truck, on the far right, is a 1920 pumper fire truck and the persons posing on it (left to right) are John Burkett, Jr., Buck Sokol, and Rudolph Sokol. "Hallettsville, Texas" is written in the lower-left corner and "Fire Protection" is written under the truck on the far right.

Postcard of Austin Avenue Methodist Church on the corner of 12th Street and Austin Avenue in Waco, Texas. The church was built in 1901-1902 and was designed by William A. Cann of St. Louis. The edifice was later sold to the congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Waco.

Color halftone postcard of the Marshall Hotel, Marshall, Texas, which was built in 1929. The view shows the facade and east side of the eight story building and parts of the smaller buildings on either side of it. There is a sidewalk canopy across the facade with 2nd floor balcony on top of it, smaller three-bay balconies at the third and seventh floors and what appears to be a terrace surrounding the eighth floor. There are people standing on the sidewalk in front of the building and one automobile parked on the street. Printed in black ink above the image: "Marshall Hotel, Marshall, Texas." Printed in the lower right corner below the image: "2751-29-N" There is no postmark on the back of the card, but there is a handwritten message: "Our room is on the third floor. Please save this card for my album - Jean." Printed between the message and address sections: "Genuine Curteich-Chicago 'C.T. American Art' post card (Reg. U. S. Pat. Off.}"

New High School, Marshall, Texas
Color tinted halftone postcard from around 1924 showing the new high school, Marshall, Texas. The building was constructed in 1924. The view shows the facade and left side of the building. It is a brick and concrete building of two-stories on raised basement, with an elaborate entrance in an English Gothic Academic style. A series of steps leads up the terraced lawn to the main entrance. Printed on the top of the image in black is the title, "New High School, Marshall, Texas." The code number 97359-N is printed below the image in the lower right corner. Printed on the back of the card on the left edge of the message section: "Distributed by Eastex Photo Supply, Marshall, Texas." Printed between the message and address sections: "Genuine Curteich-Chicago 'C.T. American Art' post card (Reg. U. S. Pat. Off.)" There is no postmark or message on the back of the card.

Postcard of rice threshing near Beaumont, Texas with at least seven African American men, a mule-drawn carriage, bags, rice, and machinery. On the right side of the postcard can be seen the threshing machine separating the grain from the stalks. Men are standing near the thresher as well as on and near a mule drawn cart between a pile of grain and bags. Another cart can be seen on the right side of the postcard. On the top right of the postcard is printed "Rice Threshing near Beaumont, Texas." Rice production is a key agricultural commodity for the area situated around Beaumont, Texas.

Postcard from Nellie D. to Miss Dora Dullnig, saying hello and writing to say she will be touring the canyon on the front of the postcard. The front of the postcard features a photograph of the mouth of Cibolo Canyon mouth in Boerne, Texas (colored in with ink). The canyon edges are close enough together that a man has wedged himself in between the canyon edges and is posing for the camera.

Postcard from H. Lora in Houston, Texas to Leta Ball in Waco, Texas,. Lora writes about positive experiences with the "folks" and passes on regards to Leta. The front of the postcard depicts an open gated entrance into Courtlandt Place, an upscale suburban neighborhood with stone walls along the sides of the neighborhood and gas lamps atop the walls' pillars.
