The heater designed to have fire-box in the front and at the rear, and the top portion of the heater being almost completely open. The elongated stew-pan placed on top of the open fire acted as a closure for the open top of the heater when food is being cooked. Illustration is included.

Patent for a method of making concrete tombstones which are waterproof and don't require wetting during the drying process to prevent cracking, reducing the drying time from 30 days in the shade to 4 days in the sun. This is achieved by adding salt to hold water which prevents cracking while drying, and a paint coat of aluminum powder and gasolene to waterproof the concrete and add a shine to it.
