Color postcard picturing a street scene in Orange, Texas "Where business is done" A hardware company is on the left and horse-drawn carriages are on both sides of the street. Correspondence on the back reads, "Hello Murray, How are you? if you see Frank will you try to find out Mrs. Pittman's address and let me know. answer this to 411 Fourth St. Mary." It is addressed to Mrs. J.B. Murray, 1492 Forsythe St., Beaumont, Tex. It is postmarked Orange, Texas on Aug 20, 1908.

Orange Leader Daily Tribune Newsboys

Orange Leader Daily Tribune Newsboys

Photograph of seven newsboys with their arms full of newspapers with Arthur Ford in front of the Orange, Texas newspaper office. The sign on the window reads, "Orange Leader, Daily Tribune". In front of that door stands a man in suspenders, hat and tie. The boys wear jackets, ties, knickers and hats. Arthur Ford wears a jacket, hat and necktie. Four of the boys are on small horses. Written on the bottom border is, "Orange Daily Tribune NewsBoys. October 15th, 1902". On the matte is a piece of paper with typed words that say, "1903 ORANGE DAILY LEADER - The Orange Daily Leader plant was located in the Rein building on Fifth Street, Oct. 15, 1903, at current location of Unitedbank, Orange. The Orange Daily Leader newsboys were captured in a pose with Arthur Ford, first cousin of the late W.H. Stark, Ford later became editor of American Lumber magazine of Chicago."

Holland Hotel Kitchen, 1902

Photograph of the kitchen of the Holland Hotel in 1902. On the left side of the frame is a man with a mustache and an apron standing behind a table full of dishes and pots. On the right side of the frame are three men in white suits and hats and one man in a dark suit and tie standing around a counter. Over their heads hangs several pots, pans, and utensils. Next to the man in the dark suit is a shelf with dishes. Behind the people is a row of stoves, shelves, and ovens. In the foreground is a pillar and wooden partition. Typed below the photograph is, "The Modern Kitchen of Holland House. Chef on the left, Steward on right." This photo is from a newspaper clipping, which can be seen on either side of the image.
